Two UMP authors, Darryl Leroux and Carmen Robertson, will be presenting at the inaugural Kinàmàgawin Symposium at Carleton University.
Robertson, the author of Mythologizing Norval Morrisseau: Art and the Colonial Narrative in the Canadian Media, will be a part of the faculty panel discussion, “Appropriating Indigenous Identities” with Kahente Horn-Miller, Patricia McGuire, and Brenda MacDougall.
Darryl Leroux, the author of Distorted Descent: White Claims to Indigenous Identity, will be speaking in the afternoon before the student panel discussion, “Decolonizing Indigenous Identities”.
