UMP authors at WPL!

Niigaanwewidam James Sinclair and Hans Werner will be at the WPL this fall, talking about their UMP titles.

Sinclair will be doing a lecture on Anishinaabeg storytelling at Winnipeg’s Millennium Library on Thursday, October 3rd at 7 pm. This event will draw on the collection he co-edited, Centering Anishinaabeg Studies: Understanding the World Through Stories, which is quickly becoming a foundational text for understanding the field of Aboriginal Studies.

Hans Werner will be speaking at the Millennium Library on Monday, September 30 at noon and the Henderson Library on Tuesday, October 8 at 6:30 pm. Hans’ latest book, The Constructed Mennonite: History, Memory, and the Second World War, is the story of one man, four identities, and a son’s quest to reconcile the public and private histories of his Mennonite father in WWII.
