Jim Blanchard spoke to a class of Creative Communications journalism majors at Red River College yesterday. The students were required to read his book, Winnipeg’s Great War: A City Comes of Age, as an example of book-length non-fiction, something that these kids may be writing themselves in the not too distant future.
