#GiftingReconciliation

The Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs, has launched a new Indigenous book campaign, #GiftingReconciliation, encouraging Canadians to read and gift Indigenous books this holiday season.

INAC has compiled a list of books to promote daily on their Twitter and Facebook feeds (@GCIndigenous, @Min_INAC, and @IndigenousPeoplesGC) and website throughout the holiday season.

We’re thrilled that one of the books selected by Bennett and INAC is Mini Aodla Freeman’s Life Among the Qallunaat, which documents an Inuit woman’s movement between worlds and ways of understanding.

University of Manitoba Press is grateful for the support it receives for its publishing program from the Government of Canada through the Canada Book Fund; the Canada Council for the Arts; the Manitoba Department of Culture, Heritage, and Tourism; the Manitoba Arts Council; and the Aid to Scholarly Publishing Programme.
