University of Manitoba Press is hiring a term Editorial Assistant

The University of Manitoba Press is looking for an Editorial Assistant! If you are an efficient and meticulous reader with experience in book production and editing and a passion for data management, we want you on our team!

This position has the expected starting and closing dates of April 2, 2024—March 31, 2025. The job posting closes on February 29, 2024.

The Editorial Assistant position collaborates with the Editorial / Production Supervisor in the preparation of approximately 12 to 14 new books annually. Pivotal in ensuring that the Press achieves its book production targets and adheres to editorial/production schedules, the Editorial Assistant also plays a key role in facilitating the distribution and shipping processes of UMP books, maintaining scholarly databases, and managing data entry for sales and inventory databases.
